Donations of cash or diapers accepted until Saturday morning at Eastside Baby Corner at 1510 NW Maple Street in Issaquah

Eastside Baby Corner is holding emergency diaper drive to help children affected by Eastern Washington fires

Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) will be holding an emergency drive today to collect diapers to send to eastern Washington communities affected by the still-burning fires. Those interested in helping are asked to bring, very specifically, Pull-Ups in sizes 2T to 4T and baby wipes to EBC at 1510 N.W. Maple St. in Issaquah until 3 p.m. today and tomorrow, Saturday between 9 and 10 a.m.

On Wednesday morning, EBC received a call from one of the relief organizations in Wenatchee asking for assistance with diapers, wipes and Pull-Ups. EBC had sufficient diapers in stock and were able to commit 10,000 to the relief effort. However, EBC does not have enough Pull-Ups or wipes to contribute, and is asking supporters and the local community to help.

Because the situation is rapidly changing, relief organizers need the diapers quickly. They will be at EBC on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to pick up the diapers – leaving EBC only one day to collect the additional supplies.

For more information, or to make a financial contribution for EBC to use to purchase Pull-Ups, please call EBC at 425-865-0234 ext. 701.
