Indecent exposure incident reported on 78th Avenue Southeast | Mercer Island police blotter

May 25

Vehicle prowls: A pair of vehicle break-ins were reported at the same location in the 2500 block of 81st Avenue Southeast. Steering columns and ignitions were broken apart; nothing was reported stolen.

May 27

Theft: A resident in the 8200 block of Southeast 61st Street reported that someone stole her daughter’s school-issued IPad in 2023 when she visited Mercer Island.

May 28

Vehicle prowl: During a vehicle prowl in a resident’s driveway in the 1900 block of 82nd Avenue Southeast, a dash camera took video of the suspect. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and nothing was damaged.

May 30

Suspicious vehicle: In the 2300 block of 60th Avenue Southeast, someone spotted a suspicious vehicle with stolen plates by a construction site. The car wasn’t currently reported stolen.

June 1

Burglary: A resident in the 3700 block of 79th Avenue Southeast reported burglaries over the past three nights while they were sleeping. The reporting party also noted that this has been an ongoing issue over the past five years. Multiple items were stolen, including wallets.

June 2

Indecent exposure: A subject deliberately exposed himself to a victim in the 2900 block of 78th Avenue Southeast.
