The Mercer Island boys soccer team were victorious over Skyline last Friday.

The Islanders won 2-1 in overtime, off a goal scored by captain Jordan Morris. Josh Lee scored the Islanders other goal, assisted by Morris in the 11th minute. Skyline’s Kaleb Strawn made the Spartans goal 35 minutes into the game.

The baseball team traveled to Moses Lake for two games in the sunshine.

The Islanders beat Union 12-1 in the first game, before taking on Moses Lake, winning 9-4.

In boys lacrosse action, the Mercer Island team beat Bellarmine Prep 19-2 on Friday, March 16. Senior Connor Bernal had three goals in the game, as did Peter Mahony and Alex Robbs.

The Islanders also played Puyallup on Saturday, March 17, winning 13-3.

In that game Bernal had five goals, while Hayden Reisman added three goals. Mahony had one goal and three ground balls. Goalie Carlos Barrios had five saves, while Benji Rothenberg had four saves.
