The Mercer Island lacrosse team powered past Eastside Catholic in their second to final regular season game. The Islanders won 18-2.

The win was the Islanders 13th this year, and are tied with Lake Tapps for the top spot in the Southwest Conference. The two will play each other Friday night, for the regular season conference crown.

Against Eastside Catholic, senior Connor Bernal had five goals, and five ground balls, while teammate Peter Mahony added four goals and two ground balls. Alex Robbs had three goals, two assists and two ground balls, while Steen Swedstedt posted three goals for the team. Goalie Carlos Barrios made seven saves for the team, while Benji Rothenberg had two.

The Islanders will host Lake Tapps on Friday, May 11 in an 8 p.m. game at Mercer Island.
