Mercer Island student earns leadership award

St. Monica eighth grader Nathan Pittiglio has been awarded the Edmund Rice Leadership Award from O’Dea High School.

For the class of 2021, O’Dea awarded this merit-based scholarship to only seven of the 140 incoming freshmen.

These scholars have distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievement, personal excellence, service and leadership.

Edmund Rice Leadership Award Scholars receive a scholarship of $1,000 per year for their four years at O’Dea and are automatically enrolled in the O’Dea Honors Program.

St. Monica Catholic School was established in 1960 and currently serves grades Pre-K through 8, with an enrollment of 190 students. For more, see www.stmonicasea.org.
