Mercer Island tops Shorewood | Prep girls water polo

Mercer Island struck early and never looked back, beating Shorewood 7-4 Monday at Mary Wayte Pool.

Mercer Island girls water polo struck twice in each of its first two quarters against Shorewood to claim an early and never look back, beating the Thunderbirds 7-4 Monday, May 5 at Mary Wayte Pool.

Michelle Na had four goals to lead the Islanders, while Kirbi Phillips, Alicia Nordal and Nola Peshkin also scored for Mercer Island. In goal, Davis Simmons had six saves.

Mercer Island will take on Bellevue at 5:50 p.m. Monday, May 12 at Woodbridge Pool.
