The Mercer Island Presbyterian Church has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Presbyterian AIDS Network Faith in Action Award.

The announcement said, “Your congregation most clearly exemplifies this award and is deserving of this recognition.”

“We thank you for your life-giving ministry to people infected and affected with HIV and AIDS. Your truly prophetic work and witness shows God’s unconditional love for all people, and we are most pleased to lift up your story at General Assembly this year.,” the letter continued.

The Presbyterian AIDS Network’s Faith in Action Award will be presented on July 2 in Pittsburgh.
