MIVAL awards high school scholarship winners

The Mercer Island Visual Art League (MIVAL) recently announced its 2017 High School Scholarship winners, Rebecca Bone, Joie Lim, Elaine Shen, Kenny Koning and Sophia Zink. It also thanked Mercer Island High School teachers Laura Totten, Tracy Mintz and Francesca Lee and Northwest Yeshiva High School teacher Yulia Chubotin for their help with and support of the MIVAL Scholarship program.

The MIVAL Senior Scholarships are open to 12th graders residing or attending school on Mercer Island who plan pursue a visual arts education after high school graduation. The MIVAL Scholarship Program is funded by MIVAL, the MIVAL Gallery and individual donations from MIVAL and community members. MIVAL is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1961 on Mercer Island to promote and encourage artistic endeavors, stimulate awareness and appreciation of the visual arts, and sponsor art exhibits and workshops.
