The girls team won with 19 points, while Hanford finished in second place with 16 points. The boys team earned the title with 35 points, beating Seattle Prep in second with 12 points.
After finishing in first place in his heat on Friday, Mercer Island sophomore Eric Schulz finished in second place in the boys 3A 800 meter event during this weekends state track meet.
Schulz finished in 1:53.51, while Lakes Izaic Yorks finished in 1:50.56, setting a new state record by .40 seconds.
