The son of Fernando Bernal and Kristen Black, he plans to play lacrosse at Michigan, Marquette, Rutgers, BYU, or play at Yale after a gap year.
Choung is the MIHS yearbook editor and Interact Club secretary. She is also a Senior Service Club member. This summer she plans to volunteer at Providence Marianwood Nursing Home. Her other activities have included volunteering at a Native American reservation in Montana, providing care for a disabled woman, and babysitting kids at her church during Sunday services.
The daughter of Soon and Han Choung, and a pianist since age 3, she intends to major in pre-med at the University of Washington in order to become a pediatrician. “I love children and want to do something meaningful with my life in the future,” she stated.
