Steve Strachan, executive director of the Washington Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC), will present “Principles of Community Trust” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s Feb. 16 meeting.

Strachan, who worked in law enforcement for 31 years, earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in public administration from Minnesota State University. He is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police through the Police Executive Research Forum, and is a past board member and legislative chair for WASPC, as well as a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Sheriffs Association.
