Suspect arrested in connection with robbery at business | Mercer Island police blotter

Sept. 25

Arrest: It was reported that two suspects brandished a pair of scissors while cooperating to steal electronics and liquor from a business in the 7700 block of Southeast 27th Street. One arrest was made in connection with the robbery and the other suspect has not been identified.

Sept. 23

Disturbance: Neighbors engaged in a heated argument over the condition of a dog in the 3500 block of 88th Avenue Southeast.

Malicious mischief: A subject caused damage to a vehicle owner’s door handle and key hole in the 3000 block of Shorewood Drive.

Road rage: Two motorists got into an altercation and blocked the roadway on Meadow Lane.

Theft: Packages were stolen from mailboxes in the 4700 block of Fernridge Lane.

Sept. 22

Fraud: A resident in the 8000 block of Avalon Drive received a fraudulent phone call from an individual impersonating the resident’s grandchild and claimed to need money.

Prowler: A resident in the 4000 block of West Mercer Way reported seeing a prowler outside their window.

Sept. 20

Assistance: Officers assisted a subject in the 9600 block of Southeast 36th Street with concerns about an estranged family member.

Fraud: A subject used fraudulent bills to purchase goods at a business in the 7600 block of Sunset Way.

Harassment: Officers responded to reports of a subject following a victim off of a bus and harassing her in the 7600 block of Southeast 27th Street.
