MIHS recycling drive

Bring unwanted electronic items between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Oct. 25-26, to Bayley Construction at 8005 S.E. 28th St. during a recycling drive sponsored by the MIHS Senior Class Scholarship & Safety Committee. Larger items require a fee. Call Joan Bayley, (206) 940-4611.

Moonlight Madness at QFC

Both Mercer Island QFCs will host a Moonlight Madness party for children on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (South QFC) and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (North QFC). The parties will feature a pumpkin toss, games, cake decorating, coloring contests and costume judging, as well as a visit from Island police. Call (206) 232-0102 for information.

Bicycle workshop

Islanders are invited to comment at the city’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Facilities (PBF) Plan Public Workshop at 7 p.m., Oct. 28, at the CCMV. The city is updating the PBF Plan. Contact Joy Johnston at 275-7791 for details.

Costume sale

The Mercer Island High School Drama Department is holding a Fantastic Costume Sale just in time for Halloween! Find clothing, accessories, props, everything you need to dress up. The sale is from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 26, at the high school on the Performing Arts Center Stage. Proceeds to benefit MIHS Drama.
