Showcase tonight

Mercer Island Friends of the Library is holding a book sale on April 1-5, during library hours. Features fiction, non-fiction, hardback, trade, mass market and children’s books.

Engineered healing

Regenerative medicine is the topic for a talk next Tuesday by Professor Buddy Ratner, of the UW Engineered Biomaterials Department. The department’s goals are to make biomaterials that heal, to be used in implants for bones as well as soft tissue.
