Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (YFS) Administrator Tambi Cork will be joined by Clinical Programs Manager Derek Franklin and Healthy Youth Initiative (HYI) Coordinator Rachel Montgomery for an update on youth well being on Mercer Island and the initiative program at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s May 25 meeting.

The main meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m. and can be accessed at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4096976967. All are welcome.

The HYI program uses a community mobilization model (Strategic Prevention Framework) to reduce youth and young adult substance use and promote mental health. HYI focuses on long-term prevention, which complements existing YFS programs that provide intervention and treatment for youth facing more imminent risks from substance use and mental health challenges.
