John Pluta

John Pluta died September 25, 2009 at age 65 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Judy, The Villages, FL, sons John, Washington D.C., Doug (Oralia), Apple Valley, CA, daughter Christina, Minneapolis, MN and two grandchildren. John was a 20 year member of St. Monica’s and the Mercer Island Country Club where he shared his love for tennis with Christina. Following his Air Force career flying the F105 and F4G fighters, he managed B1 and B2 system safety for Boeing. John’s pre-retirement dream job was a Grand Banks yacht broker. He convinced his family that to sell yachts, one must own one. The family spent many vacations gunkholing in the San Juans and Canada. Promises of more sun and golf lured Miami born John to The Villages in 2005. John will be remembered for his devotion to his family and as one who embraced life. He loved to make life “interesting”. John far exceeded his goal. Services have been held. Remembrances are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
