Islander girls survive, beat Ferndale 57-51

The Mercer Island girls basketball will play at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Tacoma Dome, thanks to a 57-51 win against Ferndale.

Islander Janelle Chow hit two consecutive three-pointers to start the game as the team never trailed during the game.

The Islanders were led by Hailey Gullstad, who scored a game high 23 points.
