Islander joins Sounders Discovery Program

Mercer Island resident Dilon Spahia was recently invited to join the Seattle Sounders Discovery Program.

Spahia, 13, has already accomplished much in his young playing career. After joining local soccer club NPSA in 2013, he has led his team to become one of the best teams in the state, winning multiple titles. He has also played in high level tournaments all over the country with PSPL Surf Academy.

“It is a fantastic achievement for Dilon to be invited to join the Sounders Discovery program and I have no doubt that he will forge a career in the game,” said NPSA Founder Adam Nowland.

Spahia currently trains with the Sounders twice a week and will continue to train and play with the NPSA B03 Navy Bellevue team this spring season.
