Mercer Island beats Interlake in girls tennis action

Mercer Island High School’s girls tennis team defeated reigning state champion Interlake, 4-3, on May 25.

Local winners were Maya Wong, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 4 singles; Ella Simpson/Ava Chatalas, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles; Izzy Roe/Chloe Degracia, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles; and Kendall Baebler/Mira Patel, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 3 doubles.
