The Mercer Island Junior Hoopsters winter camp is underway and available for girls in first through fifth grade.

The game begins Dec. 8 and runs on Saturday’s including Dec. 15, Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26 as well as Feb. 2. The camp runs from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The camp is held in the Mercer Island High School gym and at the Islander Middle School gym.

The camp will help students with basketball skills, focusing on passing, shooting, dribbling and footwork drills. There will be a pizza party on the last day of the camp.

The camp is supervised by Matt Price, an MIHS alum and basketball coach and trainer. The high school girls team will also be assisting.

To register the deadline is Dec. 5 and costs $100 for all seven sessions and includes a T-shirt.
