Two Mercer Island natives and recent graduates of Whitman College played in the Ultimate Frisbee National competition in Oregon in May.

Two Mercer Island natives and recent graduates of Whitman College played in the Ultimate Frisbee National competition in Oregon in May.

Lillian Bailey and Natalie Jamerson played for Whitman, each earning high schools for the team, with Bailey scoring 12 goals and Jamerson scoring six.

It’s the first time the DIII school has made the national competition, which featured other local schools such as the University of Oregon and the University of Washington.
