Urge re-election of Benson Wong | Letter

We have a special community on Mercer Island and a great quality of life. While we do have some challenges, they are nothing that we cannot overcome. The biggest challenge appears to be transportation and handling the transformation of our neighborhoods by builders so that we can continue to live in a green, friendly community with great schools and parks.

Having lived on Mercer Island for almost 20 years, we believe it is important to have a representative who has integrity, listens to many viewpoints and is data oriented; someone who has the ability to navigate the legal system on behalf of the city and has experience working in public institutions. Benson Wong has proven himself to be just such a person. His calm, reasoned approach has made him a valuable member of the City Council and we would like to urge everyone to support his re-election.
