July 24

Phone taken: At 10:03 p.m. in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street, a victim left her phone behind in an Uber. When she contacted the driver two hours later, the phone was gone. It was pinged to a location in Seattle.

July 25

Apartment damage: At 9:06 p.m. in the 7700 block of Sunset Highway, a caller reported suspicious circumstances involving the damage to the interior of their apartment while they were gone.

July 26

Car theft: At 9:44 a.m. in the 3000 block of Island Crest Way, an unlocked car was prowled overnight. About $1,980 in items were stolen.

July 28

Not watching the bikes: At 1:08 p.m. at Southeast 32nd Street and 78th Avenue Southeast, a subject left his bike at the Mercerdale bike racks unlocked. His wife was supposed to be watching all of the family bikes, but she was distracted by her phone. The next thing she knew, the bike was gone.

July 30

Park vandalized: At 10:41 a.m. in the 7700 block of Southeast 58th Street, Groveland Beach was vandalized. The end of the dock, the park picnic bench and wave breakers all had graffiti on them.

July 31

Gift cards please: At 6:10 a.m. in the 8000 block of Southeast 65th Street, a subject posed as someone from the Internal Revenue Service and defrauded a victim out of about $8,000 worth of Target gift cards.

Aug. 3

Money argument: At 3:05 a.m. in the 3200 block of 80th Avenue Southeast, a verbal argument broke out between a boyfriend and his girlfriend over money. The woman became angry when her boyfriend went looking for the money and started to destroy items belonging to her boyfriend. This included a $2,000 flat screen TV.

Aug. 8

While you were sleeping: At 12:21 a.m. at 80th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 33rd Place, a person was sleeping in their car when someone tried to open their door. The sleeping subject could not describe the suspect. The suspect car was a black Cadillac.

Aug. 11

Looking in: At 10:12 a.m. in the 8600 block of Southeast 45th Street, a car was broken into, but nothing was taken. The caller had footage of someone walking up, opening the car door and looking inside.
