The Mercer Island Islanders girls water polo team captured a 17-9 win against the Bainbridge Island Spartans on March 22. The Islanders improved their overall record to 2-1 with the victory. Mercer Island players Annie Pearse and Annie Ritcey scored four goals apiece in the win. Tess Ritcey added three goals as well. Mercer Island goalie Mallory Nichols had eight saves between the posts.
