A reminder: The Farmers Market  will be closed on July 13 for Summer Celebration.

On Sunday, July 20th, the Market will offer the second of four Tasting Events, featuring an easy, kid-friendly vegetable recipe that highlights the produce found at the Market. Recipe cards will also be available to take home. Sponsored by the MI Community Fund, the Tasting Event can be found near the Market’s Information Booth.

In addition to the planned tastings, many of the vendors at the Mercer Island Farmers Market are happy to let you sample their products. Interested in buying cheese? Try a sample at Little Brown Farm. Want to bring home a new flavor of jam? Ask for a sample at Camp Robber Jam. Are you in the mood for a new kind of soup? Sip a sample at Got Soup. Jeb’s Wild Salmon, Martin Family Orchard, Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt, Britt’s Pickles as well as many other vendors, allow you to “try before you buy.”

The Market will return July 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
