Parks survey

If you received a survey from the city of Mercer Island seeking input to update the city’s Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (“PROS”) plan, remember to return it by Monday, March 9.

It took me 10 minutes to fill the survey out online — time well spent to give the city your opinion about what the new parks plan should include. In the space where citizens can add what the plan should include, I suggest: Permanent protection of parks and open spaces; no net increase in impervious surfaces; save the Sculpture Park; suspend the use of Roundup.
