It is good that Paul Shoemaker realizes the importance of finding a location for MICA other than Mercerdale Park. Islanders took sides over MICA’s stated desire of having a building in Mercerdale Park not MICA itself. Since the MICA board has apparently abandoned the Mercerdale site for their building, Shoemaker and his board will find, I think, the vast majority of Islanders supporting MICA.
I am eager to learn what MICA has been doing these past several months by taking “significant, new and positive steps forward” to find a new site.
