The Burtts celebrate anniversary

James and Marion Burtt of Mercer Island recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.

The couple was married on May 3, 1969 (a Saturday).

James Burtt is a retired dentist. He was born in 1934.

Marion Burtt is a retired surgical nurse (Swedish Hospital). She was born in 1933.

The Burtts have lived on Mercer Island since 1970.

He’s now using his experiences to help people with this chronic illness through the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. The foundation is hosting an education event at the Meydenbauer Center Sept. 15.
