Tender Loving Community Tea is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6001 Island Crest Way. It is presented by the Senior Foundation of Mercer Island and is open to the public. The cost is $10/adults, $5/children to age 12, payable at the door. Opera Rescue Singers will hold a concert to benefit hurricane victims followed by a masquerade ball, New Orleans style, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Congregational Church of Mercer Island, 4545 Island Crest Way. Food and beverages will be provided. A suggested donation of $15 will be accepted at the door.
