Rick Newell, a founding member of Mentoring Urban Students and Teens (MUST), will be speaking at the July 28 Mercer Island Rotary Club meeting.
MUST is a professional mentoring organization looking to serve young black men in the Seattle area. During his appearance, Newell will discuss the organization, with an emphasis on the importance of mentoring.
The meeting is virtual, and will be hosted over Zoom.
Prior to Newell’s appearance, Ezra Teshome, the University District’s chair of the Polio Plus Foundation, will be speaking at the July 21 Mercer Island Rotary Club virtual meeting. Teshome will be giving an update on the foundation and the Rotary Club’s involvement.
