A Parks levy stakeholders meeting will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at the Community Center at Mercer View, 8236 S.E. 24th St.
The Planning Commission meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall for a public hearing regarding a proposed long plat subdivision, which would be divided into five separate lots on a 1.15-acre parcel.

School of Rock
Seattle radio station 102.5 FM KZOK, is holding a School of Rock competition for area high schools. The Mercer Island High School marching band has entered their recording of the rock band Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”The contest will be judged in part by internet voting.
In order for the band to reach the contest finals, the MIHS band needs to place high in the month-long Internet vote. Voters are allowed one vote per day per e-mail address. Vote online, www.schooloftherockcontest.com.
