Youth Theatre Northwest has announced today that Islander Joel McHale will return to his hometown to host a celebration to mark the 30th anniversary of YTN and recognize the greater arts community.

The ‘Red Carpet Gala’ has been set for 7 p.m., March 1 at the Mercer Island Community and Events Center.

There will be appetizers, an auction, awards, desserts, drinks and of course, performances.

Joel McHale is a comedian, actor, voice actor, writer, television producer, and television personality. He is best known for hosting E! Channel’s The Soup and for his role as Jeff Winger on NBC’s hit comedy-series Community.

Raised on Mercer Island, Joel McHale is a proud alumni of Youth Theatre Northwest. During the late 80’s, he received theatrical training at Youth Theater  from our teaching artists and appeared in several productions, including Oliver.
