Mercer Island Parent Edge presents a new event on April 10 with speaker Susan Cain.

Cain is a New York Times bestselling author, who wrote the book “Quiet: The power of introverts in a world that can’t stop talking.” Cain argues that the cultural bias toward an extrovert, someone who is highly verbal and who has an alpha personality, undervalues the strengths of introverts, people who are known to be more reflective and persistent.

The event will take place in the Mercer Island High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at Island Books or online at click4tix.com/quiet. PTA members can buy tickets for $10 in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets for non-PTA members are $20.
