City council to hold public hearing on parking study report

Mercer Island City Council will hold a public hearing at its hybrid meeting at approximately 5 p.m. on Sept. 19 to receive comments on the draft Town Center Parking Study Report. The draft report is available at www.mercerisland.gov/tcpsreport.

Detailed instructions on how to comment live during the public hearing will be available online on or before Sept. 13 at www.mercerisland.gov/citycouncil.

The city published the draft on its Let’s Talk page on July 31, about three weeks after city council delved back into the reviewal and adoption process of the 2022 report.

“I think this report provides a solid foundation and a direction for where we need to go to ultimately just improve visitors’ experience heading to and from Town Center,” said Sarah Bluvas, the city’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project manager, in a previous Reporter article.
