The City Council completed their review of City Manager Rich Conrad on Dec. 2. It was the first formal review for Conrad since 2008. The mayor oversees the process, which involves interviewing city managers and key staff and fellow Councilmen. With Mayor Jim Pearman presiding, the Council held an executive session for the review with Council, Conrad and city attorney Katie Knight for part of the session, then met without Conrad for the remainder. Comments from the executive session, further discussions with Councilmembers, and input from Conrad and Knight shaped the final evaluation document.

The three-page document is attached. It lists measures that include projects completed, budget priorities and work performed.

The evaluation notes the impact of the lawsuit on the reputation of the city and the relationship between Conrad and the Council. The Council is of different opinions on various topics, but details about which Councilmen agreed or disagreed with the evaluation findings is not included.
