The Mercer Island Fire Department and the city recently sent out a reminder to the community regarding fireworks rules and regulations on the Island:

The discharge of legal “safe and sane” fireworks is allowed only on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fireworks are prohibited in all parks and school district properties. And, only legal devices may be used — a list of legal and illegal fireworks is available on the city’s website at https://www.mercerisland.gov/fire/page/fireworks-safety
