City roadwork to continue through September

City road crews are nearly finished with two significant summer street projects: chip sealing and asphalt overlays for various arterial and residential roadways.

City road crews are nearly finished with two significant summer street projects: chip sealing and asphalt overlays for various arterial and residential roadways.

Work on streets in the Parkwood neighborhood are finished with just some work left to ‘raise’ manhole covers and other utilities to the new surface.

The chip sealing work is nearly complete on Mercerwood Drive and streets around Homestead Field. Only striping remains to be done on those streets.

For all construction activities, residents should expect flaggers, alternating lane closures and minor detours.

In late September, crews will re-surface a portion of West Mercer Way between S.E. 24th and 28th Street and a block of 80th Avenue S.E. in front of the car wash in the Town Center. For project maps and updates, go to www.mercergov.org.
