Covenant Living residents enjoy patriotic concert

Despite on and off again rain showers, residents of Covenant Living at the Shores on Mercer Island enjoyed an outdoor patriotic concert performed by the Bellevue Community Band on July 5 to celebrate the nation’s independence. This was the band’s first concert since March of 2020 when the pandemic hit. The performance took place near a historic 110-year-old willow tree on the lakeshore of the senior living community. It was just four years ago when the tree collapsed following the band’s performance. It has since grown back from what was just an eight-foot stump to its previous size. Courtesy photo
