April 16

DUI: Mercer Island police arrested a suspect at 9:51 p.m. in the 8800 block of W. Shorewood Drive on suspicion of driving under the influence.

April 18

Theft: A Bellevue man discovered someone had stolen his license plates and replaced the rear plate with another plate at 7:28 a.m. in the 7800 block of SE 27th St. The other plate was reported stolen by the Seattle police department.

Car theft: Police arrested an Islander found sitting in a parked stolen vehicle at 6 p.m. in the 6500 block of Island Crest Way, and booked the suspect into King County Jail.

Lost property: A Bellevue woman lost her purse while at the dog park in Luther Burbank Park at 8:28 p.m.

Drugs: A subject presented a forged prescription at the Rite Aid on 78th Avenue Southeast at 11:25 a.m., then contacted and confessed to police upon their arrival.

April 19

Burglary: An Island man at the 7200 block of N. Mercer Way reported at 1:33 p.m. that one of his skylights was lifted off the frame. The screws securing the light were missing, but the man didn’t believe access was gained because nothing was missing or disturbed inside the residence.

Assault: Two victims, an Island man and woman, said a suspect assaulted them multiple times over the course of about 30 minutes. The suspect was arrested at 10 p.m. in the 7200 block of SE 29th St. and booked into SCORE Jail.

April 20

Mental: Units were dispatched on a report involving an injured and possibly naked man at 4:41 a.m. in the 2700 block of 76th Ave. SE. The subject apparently had jumped or fallen from a third story balcony.

Boat theft: An Island woman in the 9400 block of SE 33rd St. reported at 11:11 a.m. that two boats were missing from her dock, for a loss of $700.

April 24

Mail theft: A Kirkland man said he put a vacation hold on his mail for a week, and found that his mailbox in the 8800 block of SE 60th St. was empty upon his return at 3:26 p.m. He was advised to contact the postal inspector’s office.

April 25

Package theft: An Island woman in the 2900 block of 81st Pl. SE reported that a package containing fur was stolen at 8:07 a.m. The package was diverted from her residence to the local UPS store, which told the victim that the item had been picked up.

Assault: Police responded to a road rage incident at 1:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of E. Shorewood Drive stemming from a right-of-way issue that resulted in one driver being spit on, and a partial taser hit.

April 26

Identity theft: A 54-year-old Island woman in the 4700 block of Fernridge Lane reported at 11:32 a.m. that someone was using her debit card account information to make purchases.

Burglary: An Island man reported a burglary in the 5200 block of Butterworth Road at 3:52 p.m. The suspect entered an open garage at a vacant house and removed a new dishwasher and some tools. Video evidence was collected.

April 27

Prowling: A Sedro Wooley man said at 6:54 a.m. that his car was prowled while parked in the 2400 block of 64th Ave. SE. The window was smashed, and tools and a laptop were taken.

Another prowl: An Island woman reported a car prowl at 9:24 a.m. in the 3000 block of 67th Ave. SE. Her vehicle was unlocked, but there was no damage and no items were taken.

More prowling: An Island man said at 9:28 a.m. that his car was prowled while parked in his driveway in the 2800 block of 67th Ave. SE. Nothing was taken, and there was no damage to the vehicle.

Same MO: An Island woman in the 2700 block of 64th Ave. SE reported at 9:50 a.m. that her car was prowled overnight. There were no signs of forced entry and no damage to the vehicle, and nothing was taken.
