The Mercer Island Thrift Shop features the “Giving Tree” in the center of the store that is full of gift tags that directly support families enrolled in the Youth and Family Services (YFS) Holiday Program. Every holiday season, YFS provides assistance to Mercer Island families experiencing financial insecurity to help make the holidays special.

This year, YFS Holiday Program families are receiving $100 QFC gift cards to purchase food for a special holiday meal; a $150 gift card per child to purchase gifts, and a voucher for a tree or wreath from the Mercer Island Tree Lot provided by the MIYFS Foundation.

To support this effort, people can pick a tag off the giving tree and purchase at the register or donate online.
