A Kickstarter fund has been started to back a feature-length documentary film about Stanley Ann Dunham.

Dunham, the mother of President Obama, went to Mercer Island High School.

The film will look at the journey Dunham took, from graduating from MIHS, through raising a future president.

Vivian Norris is behind the project, along with Brian Woods and Gloria Origgi. They hope to raise $50,000. Currently there are 10 backers who have pledged just over $1,000. The deadline to donate is Monday, June 17.

To learn more about the project, include a short clip about the film, including interviews with Dunham’s Mercer Island classmates, visit the Kickstarter page.
