Happy for new home

Grandchildren remember their Country Village days and the staff fondly.

We are so pleased and relieved that Country Village Day School has found a site.  Given that it is common that both parents work in this current modern world plus many families have single parents, it is critical to have dependable caring baby care, preschool and after-school daycare.  Country Village is a great example.

When my grandchildren moved onto the Island, I visited daycare facilities.  When I visited the first one, there was a search to find someone who could speak to me in English (that daycare is no longer in business).  When I visited Country Village unannounced, I was impressed with the overall atmosphere.  The person with whom I spoke had worked there four years; I think that she is still there.  By contrast, my oldest grand-daughter went to a day care in Totem Lake.  Every time I picked her up there was a different person in charge of her group.  Attrition in daycare facilities is notoriously expected.

Whenever I picked up a grandkid at Country Village, whomever I asked knew immediately where my grandchild was — which room or playground.  Holiday breaks and summer vacations are filled with extra activities.  Those grandchildren are now 10 and 12 but remember their Country Village days and the staff fondly.

Mercer Island should be proud to have such an exceptional day care facility.
