Help for Childhaven

During the month of February, the Evergreen Chapter of the National Charity League is conducting a book drive for Childhaven. Childhaven provides therapeutic child care for abused and neglected children under the age of six. We are requesting donations of new, age-appropriate books for Childhaven. Please look for yellow book collection boxes at Island Books, the Mercer Island Library, neighborhood schools and other community locations. We thank you for your support of this worthy cause.

The National Charity League (NCL) is a mother-daughter philanthropic organization, comprised of girls in grades 7-12. NCL strives to teach its members the fundamentals of leadership development, community service, and cultural experiences. We, the Evergreen Chapter, work with 24 different nonprofit organizations in the greater Seattle area. This month, we are working on a philanthropy project with the two other local chapters, Lake Washington and Sammamish, all to celebrate Childhaven’s 100th Anniversary.
