Sept. 16

Arrest: In the 8000 block of North Mercer Way, police arrested a subject for a misdemeanor warrant out of Seattle.

Sept. 17

Hit-and-run: A woman reported that she was rear ended by a red Volkswagen Golf that left the scene at the intersection of Southeast 29th Street and 76th Avenue Southeast. A witness who knew the suspect helped the reporting party find the damaged car one block away with air bags deployed. The suspect, who was walking away from the car with a bloody nose, was soon arrested and a citation was forwarded to the prosecutor. Due to the suspect refusing a medical evaluation, she was unable to be booked at the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines.

Sept. 19

Theft: Someone stole a diaper bag from the Luther Burbank Park playground in the 2000 block of 84th Avenue Southeast. Various childcare items were inside the bag along with an au pair’s $500 Dior sunglasses.

Sept. 21

Harassment: A potential Facebook marketplace buyer contacted a resident in the 9600 block of Southeast 36th Street who was selling an item. The buyer made threats to kill the seller.

Sept. 22

Theft: An unknown suspect shoplifted two boxes of hard cider from a business in the 7700 block of Southeast 27th Street.
