Due to the success of its July event, Island Books will be hosting another Local Author Festival from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 26 at 3014 78th Ave. SE.

For the fall edition, the shop will be hosting nine local authors whose work ranges from sports non-fiction and cozy fantasy to poetry and adventure memoir.

The authors are:

Clelia Castro-Malaspina (“Girls with Goals: How Women’s Soccer Took Over the World”); Leah R Cutter (“A Dragon’s Guide to Killing Gods”); Lia Duchaine (“Bahama Drama”); Dana Evyn (“The Other Side of the Mirror”); Kelly Goto (“Seattle Samurai”); Shannon Hogan (“The Unforgiving Hours”); Michael Sandler (“The Lamps of History”); Alexa Shay (“The Shield”); and Ruth Vincent (“In the Wake of the Frontier”).
