Mercer Island boys lacrosse needed overtime to dispatch Seattle Prep 9-8 in their first-round state tournament matchup Tuesday night at Islander Stadium.

Bryan Glant led the Islanders with four goals, while Evan Condon and Brett Bottomley each had two goals and two assists. Ezra Tillinger had eight saves in goal.

Mercer Island will take on Woodinville in the state tournament quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at Islander Stadium. Woodinville finished regular season play with an overall record of 10-6 and dropped its matchup with Mercer Island 16-8 April 4 at MIHS.
