The MIHS boys water polo continued to roll by beating Bainbridge 13-5 last Thursday at the King County Aquatic Center. The Islanders continued their focus on developing offensive threats and increasing defensive pressure to prepare for the team’s trip to San Diego at the end of the month, where they’ll run into some of the top high school teams in the country.

MIHS put on a defensive showcase in the first quarter, shutting out Bainbridge while scoring five goals, two of which were from senior Evan Moline. In the second quarter, MIHS gave up its first goal but added five more of its own, with freshman Kalen Hopkins adding three to his first quarter goal.

In the second half, senior Cameron Manzano was the only MIHS player to score, notching three goals over the final two quarters. The Islanders meet traditional rival Bellevue on Tuesday, after Reporter deadline, at KCAC for their final league game of the season.
