LD 41’s Zahn, Whitney advance to general election

Janice Zahn and John Whitney have advanced to the general election after taking the top two spots in the Aug. 5 primary’s 41st Legislative District state representative Position No. 1 race.

King County Elections posted the final certified results on Aug. 19, and the general election will occur on Nov. 4.

Bellevue’s Zahn (D) amassed 63.96% of the votes (21, 079), Bellevue’s Whitney (R) notched 28.32% (9,331) and Mercer Island’s Vinita Kak (D) grabbed 7.59% (2,502).
