Mercer Island advances to state semifinals | Girls prep lacrosse

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team will play Lakeside, at Lakeside on Tuesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the state semifinals.

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team advanced to the state semifinals, after beating Stadium 18-3 on Friday, May 10.

Against Stadium, Tyler Sherper scored five goals for the Islanders, with four assists. Madison Blackburn made three goals, with one assist. Katie Harris had two goals and two assists, Hannah Pabrosky had two goals and one assist, as did Saffron Snethen. Taylor Dahlgren had two goals, Kara Dalgren scored one goal and Dulce Moll scored one goal with two assists.

The Islanders will next face off against league rival Lakeside at Lakeside High School on Tuesday, May 14. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The winner of Tuesdays match will advance to the state championship, which will be against the winner of the Bainbridge Island vs. Lake Sammamish match. The state title game will be held on Friday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Mercer Island High School.
