The Mercer Island girls soccer team earned another shutout win on Thursday night, beating Sammamish 4-0 at home.

The Islanders, with back to back shutouts, completely controlled the match. Marissa Hammerstrom, who would go on to earn her first hat trick of the season, scored off a pass from Laura Harrison in the second minute. Amanda Wall was the next to score, this time in the 56^th minute, assisted by Emily Lightfoot.

Hammerstrom would score twice more in the second half, both unassisted. Her second goal came in the 61^st minute, followed by the third in the 79^th minute of the game.

The team will host Interlake on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in a 7:30 p.m. game and will play at Juanita on Thursday, Sept. 20.
